[Img # 30966]BETA Implants, a startup dedicated to the design and custom production of implants for animals, has become the winner of the ViaGalicia Award 2019, awarded for the first time by the State delegate in the Vigo Free Trade Zone, David Regades, and the GAIN Director, Patricia Argerey, and endowed with €150.000 of financing.

 

El Technical Committee, in charge of selecting the winner among those more than half hundred startups submitted to the first edition of this recognition, has highlighted the evolution of the business model of BETA Implants from its participation in the accelerator, its consolidation in the market, the added value and innovation it brings to the sector and the creation of quality employment (skilled and indefinite). This recognition will provide the project with €150.000 in financing, coming from XesGalicia and Vigo Active, to support your plans consolidation and international growth.

 

During the meeting, You water has pointed out that “BETA Implants is the perfect example of a productive company that ViaGalicia wants to continue supporting innovative projects, capable of creating employment for Galicia and sustaining themselves over time through solid business models.”

 

 

In total, the accelerated projects in ViaGalicia have managed to attract 19 million euros of financing, of which 52% is of private origin

 

 

 

For its part, the GAIN Director, Patricia Argerey, has emphasized the innovative nature of the winning company, as well as the rest of the accelerated companies in the fifth edition of ViaGalicia, which contribute to improving the quality of life of present and future Galician citizens. Argerey included this support in the commitment of the Xunta de Galicia with innovative entrepreneurship and the recruitment and retention of talent in Galicia, which through StartIN, the Galician network of accelerators, has supported more than 900 projects in the last five years.

 

The delivery of this award, which has received Bibiana Rodiño, general director of BETA Implants, took place during the closing of the Investors Day, a day in which around a hundred investors – business angels, consultants, banking executives and agents from other accelerators – were able to learn about the business and investment opportunities of the startups accelerated in this latest edition.

 

To grant this recognition, ViaGalicia has analyzed the figures of the projects submitted to this call, highlighting the creation of more than 60 companies, of which 80% are still active today. All of them have invoiced more than five million euros and have generated more than 240 new qualified jobs, of which 83% are permanent jobs. In total, the projects accelerated in ViaGalicia They have managed to raise 19 million euros of financing, of which 52% is of private origin.
