From June 3 to 7 at Bilbao Exhibition Center

At a press conference, the 32nd edition of BIEMH, the leading international fair in advanced manufacturing, which will be held from June 3 to 7 in Bilbao Exhibition Center. More than 1.500 exhibiting companies from 29 countries and more than 3.500 products and services, BIEMH 2024 It will feature large machinery in operation as the protagonist and will take place in the six BEC pavilions, which will house, in parallel, ADDITƐD, BeDIGITAL and WORKinn Talent Hub. It will be an authentic industrial and technological spectacle, with a great international presence in which countries such as Germany, Italy, Portugal, USA, Japan, Taiwan and Türkiye, and a clearly sectored distribution.
Thus, the event will feature companies from the manufacturing and distribution of starting and deformation machines (35%), Robotics and automation (20%), Tools and accessories (12%), Digitalization applied to industry (9%), Mechanical components (9%), Production and business services (6%), Additive and 3D manufacturing (5%) and Metrology (4%). And as a novelty, this year you can visit a differentiated space for robotics, automation and digitalization, as well as the Robot Demo area, where leading companies will show, in action, Cartesian, articulated, industrial robots, cobots, autonomous and AMRs.
The data with which this edition of BIEMH They are a reflection of the reality of the sector. The definitive closing of the billing of the field of advanced manufacturing technologies and machine tools for the fiscal year 2023 not only confirms, but improves what was announced in January with the provisional figures, reaching its historical record with a growth of 22,6% compared to the figures for 2022. Despite the enormous uncertainty and difficulties that have turned the year into a real obstacle course for investment in productive means, the good order intake accumulated over the last two years has allowed the sector continue to grow in turnover and reach the figure of 2.157,3 million euros.
Great presence of purchasing companies, with Mexico as a Guest Country
Important companies in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, aerospace, railways, energy, steel and capital goods, among others, have reaffirmed their interest in closing meetings with BIEMH companies and expanding investments, after a promotional campaign developed in a very positive. Thanks to this boost, BIEMH has registered professional visitors from 75 important countries, among which stand out USA, France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Portugal, Turkey, Canada, India, China and Mexico.
Mexico, furthermore, will be the Guest Country of 32 BIEMH; a country with a very relevant presence in the event and a strategic market for the industry, especially after the signing of the USMCA and the nearshoring policy it is carrying out. More than 70 Mexican purchasing companies from the automotive, aerospace, household appliances, mold makers and distribution sectors, among others, will participate in the fair. These companies are also part of the Hosted Buyers' Programme, a unique initiative among the leading fairs in the sector worldwide that has become a great attraction for BIEMH, and which has the support of Basque Trade & Investment and Basque Government.
This VIP buyers program collects requests from the exhibiting firms themselves, guaranteeing the presence of hundreds of strategic professionals with whom to meet. Around 300 senior decision-makers from leading companies worldwide are part of the program. These data, truly significant, support the Hosted Buyer's Program as a successful and successful bet by the organization.
Extensive content agenda
This edition of BIEMH will be especially dynamic and will have a varied program of activities, among which the analysis and content of international experts in the BIEMH Talks. Through conferences, keynotes, workshops and round tables, the BIEMH Talks will examine the current situation and future projections of the industry. Scheduled for June 4, the Digital Talks will explore the latest 4.0 technologies for digital transformation, particularly those aimed at users of industrial equipment. They will be classified into three categories: Big Machines Tour, Automation & Robotics Tour and Innovation Tour. Each one, in its specialty, will offer a direct and highly technological vision through a 45-minute tour of eight companies. Along with this, on June 3, 4 and 5, BIEMH TV will broadcast from Pavilion 4 more than 50 live interviews, testimonies from professionals, daily summaries and the day's agenda.
For their part, and with an open and dynamic format, the BeDIGITAL Innovation Workshops They will show the most important digital advances. And in the Innotech area of the Basque Innovation Agency - Innobasque, research and innovation projects co-financed in different European programs will be announced, and talks will be available on June 3, 4 and 5.
