The Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2023, the event organized by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB) which will be held from October 2 to 5, adds two new verticals: Proptech and Health. More specifically, the first will delve into the most technological and digital part of the Real Estate and the second will focus its contents on one of the fundamental aspects, both in daily life and in the workplace, such as people's health and well-being.
The fourth edition of BNEW will have three sets and seven transcendental sectors for the new economy - two for each set - some of which have already been represented since the start of the event in 2020. More specifically, the seven themes of 2023 will be: Proptech, Health, Digital Industry, Talent, Sustainability, Mobility and Experience. This format allows us to reach professionals from different economic sectors, industries, small and medium-sized companies, large corporations, administrations and institutions, and startups.
After the success of the last edition, BNEW 2023 repeats the stage in DFactory Barcelona, a unique building in the city of Barcelona with open, diaphanous, digital spaces, and committed to the 2030 Agenda. A disruptive and innovative event that is committed to the possibilities, new forms and change of economic paradigm offered by new technologies. And all this in Barcelona, the reference city in Europe for the new economy, which is firmly committed to this new way of doing things and has a broad 4.0 business ecosystem.
Registration to participate in the fourth edition of BNEW is already active from the event website and will give access to the platform from where the content of the sets will be streamed and participants will be able to connect with partners of interest.
In the words of the special delegate of the State in the Barcelona Free Zone Consortium (CZFB), Pere Navarro, “The implementation of technology and digitalization in each of the sectors of the economy brings with it many changes that both companies and employees must accept positively and see in them a step towards efficiency and improvement of their working conditions, as well as as an opportunity to be participants in the new economy. BNEW is an example of this and a clear example is the evolution of the Real Estate vertical to Proptech, with technologies applied to one of the key sectors of the world economy.”
Once again, BNEW 2023 will continue to focus on internationalization as a key element, as well as generating business through networking on the event's powerful digital platform and through artificial intelligence.
Free registration
The event plans to bring together nearly 500 top-level national and international speakers, giving rise to 140 hours of content distributed in 100 panels, debates and sessions. The event will maintain its hybrid format to facilitate the attendance of people from anywhere in the world, who can register for free.
In the same way as in previous editions, BNEW has a state-of-the-art digital platform from which participants from any country will be able to follow live or recorded the content that will take place on the sets located at the DFactory Barcelona. The only vertical that will only be developed in person will be the BNEW Experience, which seeks to make event attendees aware of the leisure, cultural and gastronomic offer of the city of Barcelona.
“Registration to participate in BNEW 2023 is now active from the event website. Both companies and visitors will have access, once registered, to the digital platform, which will allow them to follow the content live, in addition to connecting with the partners that are of interest to them, being able to select them from among all the participating companies and the more than 12.000 virtual assistants that we foresee for this new edition,” says the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué.
