In this international journey, Bodegas Tradición has had the participation and support of Extenda – Andalucía Exportation and Foreign Investment.
El Andalusian foreign sector has demonstrated its competitiveness as an engine of economic growth. Now more than ever, Andalucía stays like one of the most exporting communities in Spain, With a exports of more than 27.832 million in 2020, and a trade surplus of 3.159 million euros.
Internationally successful Andalusian companies such as Tradition Wineries, a family company, founded in 1998, dedicated to the production, aging and aging of wines.
This winery, located in the Cadiz municipality of Jerez de la Frontera, is the only one in Jerez dedicated exclusively to VOS and VORS wines, that is, wines that are more than 20 and 30 years old. This company was born with the philosophy of rescuing the tradition in the production methods of Jerez wineries, hence, the spraying of bottles, bottling, sealing and labeling are done by hand.
The company launched itself abroad from the beginning of its activity, so that today it has some mature exports, which already represent 50% of the total billing. The foreign trajectory of Bodegas Tradición has led to exporting its wines to different continents: Europe, where the activity in Germany, United Kingdom, France and Italy; North America, mainly, in USA; Asia, specifically, in China and Japan; and even in Oceania, with sales in Australia.
On this international tour, Tradition Wineries has had the participation and support of Extenda – Andalusia Export and Foreign Investment. “We appreciate Extenda’s work from the very beginning. Their support has been constant through trade missions, attendance at trade fairs, and even facilitating client visits to our wineries,” he says. José Cantalejo, manager of Bodegas Tradición. The Jerez company usually attends annually with Extenda the main international events in the sector, such as Prowine or Vinoble.
Bodegas Tradición's future plans involve positioning brandy in a premium range. The objective is to achieve the certification from the Regulatory Council that its Oloroso, Amontillados, Pedro Ximénez and Cream have already achieved, for Jerez brandy and thus achieve a new leap in quality.
