BusinessGoOn opens an office in the City of London, it will be the nerve center of its operations in Europe

London is one of the world's great capitals, not only for its history but also for its political position on the international stage. It is one of the world's largest financial centers, boasting stable institutions and highly regarded business environments.

BusinessGoOn, a consultancy specializing in internationalization projects, has just opened an office in London's City, in the heart of the financial district, launching several projects directly linked to the telecommunications, biotechnology, geospatial software, biomedical, and robotics sectors. “This country offers companies the opportunity to establish themselves to test technology and innovate processes that can then be rolled out to their headquarters; in other words, it is more efficient to research and invest in R&D in London than in other cities around the world. Therefore, our City headquarters will be the nerve center of our operations in Europe,” says José Luis Martín, CEO of BusinessGoOn.

“This city is an economic, commercial, and technological benchmark compared to other world capitals,” adds Martín. The United Kingdom is one of the most developed countries and offers a very favorable environment for doing business; it currently ranks 8th in the “Doing Business” report. Furthermore, obtaining financing is easy, both through traditional and alternative channels. Its main attraction lies in the protection afforded to minority investors. This is complemented by the corporate tax rate, which is 21% of profits, including all taxes and levies. In addition, there are special tax treatment and advantages for companies with fewer than 600 employees, such as a 22,5% exemption from general taxes, provided these companies meet another requirement: investing 32% of their total costs in research and development.

Given this financial landscape, BusinessGoOn launched Global Unity, its investment arm, a year ago. This independent and dynamic investment vehicle is comprised of the consultancy firm and a group of both domestic and international investors. Its objective is to support companies in their international expansion plans with appropriate financing structures and a long-term vision. Through this investment vehicle, they estimate a return on investment of 25% to 30%. “With our new position in London, Global Unity will be further strengthened by being closer to major investors and new projects,” Martín explains.

Currently, 52% of foreign investment is directed to London; this figure clearly reflects how this great metropolis is opening its doors to small businesses to establish themselves there and compete technologically on a global level. There is a strong startup culture, with London having the highest concentration of technology companies in Europe. “We are working in one of the most competitive cities, but our projects have a high degree of differentiation, so we are seeing that they are filling an emerging market gap,” continues José Luis Martín.

The aim of BusinessGoOn's London office will be to implement a similar entry strategy to the one they have developed in Spain, offering high value-added international consulting services.

In closing, José Luis Martín said, “From the very beginning of our company, London has always been a natural aspiration, and now, with our business consolidated in Spain, we feel strong enough to take on the challenge of entering the English market and establishing a permanent and strategic presence there. It will also provide a more direct route to access other Anglo-Saxon markets.”
