A group of 15 businesswomen from the Murcia participates in an innovative training program to strengthen their skills and position their companies in the international market. The initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Business through the Development Institute (Info), seeks to promote the internationalization of companies led by women, providing them with tools and strategic knowledge to compete on the global stage.

Women-Owned Certification and access to international networks

The program, which is free and offered online, comprises four specialized workshops. The first, focused on obtaining the "Women-Owned" certification, opens doors to an international network and facilitates participation in business matchmaking events and exclusive gatherings to establish commercial relationships with multinational buyers. This recognition promotes equal opportunities and increases the visibility of women in the business world.

Subsequent workshops delve into key areas for international expansion. The second workshop addresses the international private contracting, including the new supply chain model, the keys to negotiation and commercial prospecting trips. The third workshop focuses on international public procurement, providing tools to identify opportunities and participate in tenders. Finally, the fourth workshop focuses on business roundtables, training participants in developing attractive value propositions for large companies.

Joaquín Gómez, director of InfoGómez highlights the importance of this initiative in strengthening the competitiveness of women-led businesses in the Region of Murcia. "This program will support women entrepreneurs on their path to internationalization, facilitating networking, access to global supply chains, and the promotion of their leadership in the global market," she states.

A boost to the regional economy

The training program for the international expansion of companies in the Region is emerging as a significant boost for the regional economy. By strengthening the capabilities of women entrepreneurs and facilitating their access to international markets, a new chapter of growth and development opens for the Region of Murcia, promoting diversity and female leadership in the business sector.
