CaixaBank is chosen as 'Best Confirming Bank' in the Global Trade Finance Awards of the International Financial Corporation

The IFC has awarded CaixaBank two awards for its performance in confirming and financing import and export operations worldwide, within the framework of the Foreign Trade Financing Program (GTFP).

CaixaBank has been elected for the second year in a row'Best Confirming Bank in the World' ('Best Confirming Bank') in the Global Trade Finance Awards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an entity of the World Bank Group. The awards, which celebrate their tenth edition this year, recognize those leading entities in international financing and foreign trade solutions worldwide.

 

The IFC, the main multilateral financing institution dedicated exclusively to the private sector, has highlighted CaixaBank with two awards for its performance in confirming and financing import and export operations worldwide, within the framework of the Foreign Trade Financing Program (GTFP).

 

In the period covered by the awards, from July 2020 to June 2021, CaixaBank closed operations for a total of 1.523 million dollars within the framework of foreign trade financing programs with multilateral institutions, which are managed by the Institutions teams. Multilaterals and IFI of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Unit (CIB) and International Banking (IB).

 

In addition, CaixaBank has been chosen for the first time 'Best Confirming Bank in South Asia' in the same awards, recognizing the work carried out by the representative office of India, which in 2021 celebrated its tenth anniversary with high market shares in documentary credits and guarantees managed between the region and Spain.
