CaixaBank and CEOE boost business growth with a €45.000 billion financing facility

 

CaixaBank and CEOE have strengthened their commitment to Spain's economic development by expanding their long-standing partnership. The new financing line, which exceeds the previous year's figure by €5.000 billion, seeks to boost growth, competitiveness, entrepreneurship, and Capabilities and innovation in the Spanish business landscape.

 

The agreement, signed today by Tomás Muniesa, president of CaixaBank, and Antonio Garamendi, president of CEOE, takes on special relevance in a global context where companies face constant challenges in areas such as sustainability, technology, and competitiveness. Both institutions have expressed their firm intention to effectively address the financing needs of companies and support initiatives that generate tangible benefits on these crucial fronts.

 

One of the most notable new features of this agreement is the priority focus on SMEs, establishing that a minimum of 75% of the companies benefiting from this financing must be small and medium-sized enterprises. This measure underscores the importance of this sector for job creation and economic dynamism.

Furthermore, he added that "The challenges in digitalization and sustainability that our companies are currently facing, in a context of particular uncertainty, make it necessary for us to redouble our efforts in supporting them so that they have the necessary resources.".

 

Over the last decade, the collaboration between CaixaBank and CEOE has allowed channeling more than 170.000 millones de euros towards business growth. CaixaBank's extensive network of offices and specialized services, with 214 business centers and over 2.300 highly qualified professionals, has been key to meeting the diverse needs of the Spanish business sector.
