Cajamar, Interporc and COFIDES join the Plenary of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce to strengthen public-private collaboration

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce has added Cajamar, Interporc, and COFIDES as collaborating members, bringing the total number of companies represented on its Plenary to 88. In addition, Idoya Arteagabeitia of Telefónica has been appointed as the new president of the Digitalization Committee.


La Cámara de Comercio de España has ratified the incorporation as collaborating members of three new companies from strategic sectors: the financial entity Cajamar, the interprofessional organization of white-coated pigs Interporc and Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo (COFIDESThis move strengthens the organization's business base and its capacity to analyze the Spanish productive fabric.

With these three new members, the Plenary of the Cámara de España reaches the 88 member companiesThe current structure consists of 28 members and 60 associate members, who play an active role both in the advisory committees and in the various programs and activities promoted by the institution for the internationalization and competitiveness of Spanish companies.

The president of the Cámara de España, José Luis Bonet, has positively assessed these additions, highlighting that "the work of the companies that are part of our Plenary is the best proof that the public-private partnership It works. Their participation in the committees—through which the consultative function entrusted to the Chamber is exercised—is essential to convey the concerns and proposals of the business community to the Administration."

New leadership for the Digitalization Commission

During the same plenary session, a key change in one of its advisory bodies was approved. Idoya Arteagabeitia, Director of Regulation, Public Policy and Competition at Telefonica S.A., has been appointed new president of the Digitalisation Commission. Arteagabeitia replaces Carlos López Blanco, who has been at the head of the commission since its creation in 2017.
