Cámara Madrid organizes a business mission to Romania, one of the most important markets in Eastern Europe

Romania, with nearly 20 million consumers, is one of the most important markets in Eastern Europe. The country has experienced 17% year-on-year growth in the last two years and a 28% increase in imports in 2022. The forecasts of the IMF They place GDP at 2,4% in 2023.

 

Romania is positioned as the European HUB of digitization, is an IT service provider for foreign corporations and, in 2021, it opened in Bucharest el European Cybersecurity Competence Center. The Romanian Government has also established ambitious objectives for the development of renewable energy, with the implementation of green projects of approximately 60.000 million euros until 2030, as well as promoting foreign investment in sectors such as infrastructure and agriculture.
