Sabadell Chamber of Commerce promotes plan to increase Catalan investments in Romania and Bulgaria

Catalan companies have formalized contacts with more than 100 companies in Sofia and Bucharest

The Sabadell Chamber of Commerce has presented a new plan to facilitate and increase Catalan investments in Romania and Bulgaria, two of the main emerging markets in Europe, according to chamber sources.

The aforementioned plan has begun with a trade mission that has taken place in recent days in these two countries, where the participating Catalan companies have formalized contacts with more than one hundred companies located especially in Sofia and Bucharest.

Alongside trade missions to these Central and Eastern European countries, the Sabadell Chamber of Commerce also plans to develop and promote complementary actions, including information sessions, working meetings and conferences, addressing the new business opportunities opening up for Catalan companies.

Vicenç Vicente, Head of International Promotion at the Sabadell Chamber of Commerce, stated that "now is the time to establish a presence in these markets, especially in Romania, due to its strategic location, its membership in the European Union, economic and political stability, and qualified and affordable human resources, among other reasons."

Among the productive sectors that the Sabadell Chamber of Commerce has identified as most interesting for Catalan companies are those related to infrastructure, construction materials, textiles, automotive supplies, electrical equipment, machinery and appliances, food products, agricultural machinery, packaging machinery, capital goods, wood processing, real estate and tourism.
