El Palace of Congresses and Fairs of Malaga has become the epicenter of innovation with the celebration of Transfiere, an event that brings together the main players in the sector. In this edition, Canary Islands has deployed all its strength, presenting itself under a unified brand and occupying a prominent space where collaboration and technological potential are the protagonists.
The Minister of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands, Migdalia Machín, together with the General Director of the Center for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI), Jose Moises Martin Carter, opened the event. Later, the authorities present took a tour of the Canary Islands stand, where they were able to learn first-hand about the projects and advances that the archipelago is promoting.
The event has the participation of various Canarian institutions and entities, including the Government of the Canary Islands, the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (ACIISI), Proexca, the Canary Islands Technological Institute (ITC), the Institute of Astrophysics of the Canary Islands (IAC), the Canary Islands Special Zone Consortium (ZEC), and the two Canarian universities, as well as their foundations, and the scientific and technological parks of Gran Canaria and Tenerife, in addition to sector clusters.

The participation of the Canary Islands in Transfiere Málaga aims to strengthen the international projection of the archipelago in strategic areas such as microelectronics, astronomy, blue biotechnology and medicine. According to Javier Franco Ant, director of ACIISI, "The Canary Islands has the potential to consolidate itself as a reference hub in these areas, thanks to its scientific and technological ecosystem and a unique natural environment."

Pablo Martin Carbajal, CEO of Proexca, has highlighted the importance of tax incentives, saying: “We are aware of the potential that the Canary Islands have to develop technological projects due to the competitive advantages that we offer and we need these spaces to continue to disseminate them. Companies also need institutional support to be able to come to meetings like this and learn about trends, publicise their projects, establish contacts and possible collaborations that allow them to continue growing.”
