Casa América hosts the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Mercosur

Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, founders of MERCOSUR

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of MERCOSUR, the Argentine Embassy, ​​in its capacity as pro tempore Presidency, together with the Embassies of Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, held a meeting at Casa América between experts and political representatives.

The opening of the event was carried out by Pablo Anselmo Tettamanti, representing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina who has pointed out the importance of work with flexibility and pragmatism to achieve the comprehensive and sustainable development that our people need.

 

 

 

Next, the minister of foreign affairs, European Union and cooperation of Spain, Arancha Gonzalez Laya has offered a panoramic vision of the strategic relations between Spain, Mercosur and Europe.

 

In the first round table discussion on «Current situation and prospects for integration processes in a world in pandemic the role of Mercosur as an engine of development of the region and the importance of not losing sight of the objectives of the 2030 agenda.

 

Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay, founders of MERCOSUR and signatories of the Treaty of Asuncion, have been represented by their ambassadors at the second round table in which a tour of these thirty years of regional integration has been made, which has led to the southern common market, and the importance of building bridges with Europe.
