The Government of Castilla la Mancha has announced the renewal of its support for the National Wine Fair (Fenavin), reaffirming its commitment to the region's wine sector. The second vice president, Jose Manuel Caballero, and the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, Julian Martinez Lizan, met with representatives of the Denomination of Origin La Mancha to formalize the economic, institutional, commercial and promotional support for the fair.
The main objective of this collaboration is to boost wine quality, generate added value, and promote internationalization in a complex market environment. "We see Fenavin as one of the best tools for promoting the marketing of the region's wines," stated Caballero, emphasizing the importance of this platform for the sector.
The regional government will have its own stand at Fenavin, where the appellations of origin and the protected geographical indication of the region. Training activities, tastings, debates and conferences will be offered, in addition to facilitating business meetings between buyers and producers. The buyers program, managed by the Castilla-La Mancha Land of Vineyards Foundation and IPEX, aims to attract more than 110 international buyers interested in the region's wines.
As a novelty, the Regional Institute for Agri-Food and Forestry Research and Development of Castilla-La Mancha (IRIAF) will participate for the first time in Fenavin, offering information on the wine analysis it provides to the sector.
Caballero stressed that support for Fenavin transcends changes in government, since the objective of promoting the wine sector is shared by all institutions. As for the Designation of Origin La Mancha, Martinez Lizán He praised her career and highlighted her role as a benchmark in the production of quality wine. "She is the one who adds the most value to the entire wine chain," the councilor stated, emphasizing the regional government's continued support for this important figure in quality.
