The opportunities and challenges represented by indonesian market for Spanish companies has been the subject of analysis in the “Spain-Indonesia business meeting” by Indonesian Embassy in Madrid and the Indonesian Hispanic Business Council.
“The objectives of this meeting are basically to try to promote commercial relations between Spain e Indonesia and invite the Spanish companies who have not yet done so, to do business with Indonesia and try to increase their exports to this market” he explained Antonio Viñal, general secretary of the Indonesian Hispanic Business Council.
The chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, food and vehicle equipment and automotive sectors represent greater business opportunities as explained during the day. Likewise, the focus has been placed on the added value of having activity in Indonesia to access other markets in the region; “This is also important because in December 2015 the economic community was established ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), a bit in the image and likeness of the European Union and those Spanish companies that are established in Indonesia will have the possibility of trading with other countries in the area, this is important because they will not have trade barriers and that will help increase business without a doubt," he pointed out.
