The director of the President's Office, International and Institutional Relations of CEOE, Married Narcissus has met with the Minister Counselor of the Presidency of the Government of Senegal, Gnounka Diouf and the new ambassador of Senegal in Spain, Mariame Sy, to assess possibilities for joint collaboration and learn in more detail about the International Conference on the Emergency that will be held in Dakar from January 17 to 19, 2019 and which on this occasion is focused on enhancing the role of the private sector.
La International Conference on the African Emergency (ICEA) is an exchange platform created to address the structural transformation that the emerging countries and to be able to analyze the different ways for optimal application of emergency plans. In the first two editions of the SUPPER, held in 2015 and 2017 in Abidjan, the leaders of African countries analyzed the different emergency trajectories.
The Minister Counselor of the Presidency of the Government of Senegal, Gnounka Diouf, has highlighted Spain's role as a gateway to Europe for African countries, as well as the work carried out by Spanish companies in the sub-Saharan region.
This Third Edition, organized jointly by the government of Senegal, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in collaboration with World Bank and the African Development Bank (ADB), It will have as its central theme “the promotion of the private sector as an engine of the emergency: development of national leaders and private investments” and “Emergency, inclusivity and job creation.”
Diouf has highlighted the role of Spain like a door Europe for the countries of Africa, as well as the work carried out by the Spanish companies in the sub-saharan region by highlighting the importance and good results of strengthening the private sector. From the government of Senegal have especially wanted to involve Spanish companies in this International Conference, focused on the search for possible ways to enhance the economic and business growth of Africa the private sector.
