Renews its collaboration agreement with the Chamber of Commerce of Seville
Latin America concentrates 4% of Andalusian exports and is a large investment market with a solid service economy.
CESCE has participated in the Seminar “The internationalization of the Andalusian company in Latin America”, held in the Chamber of Seville and which has brought together more than a hundred attendees.
The seminar included the participation of the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Seville, Francisco Herrero León; the President of CESCE, Fernando Salazar Palma; the Director of Country Risk and Debt Management of CESCE, Inés Menéndez de Luarca, and the Director of subsidiaries in Latin America of CESCE, Jesus Urdangaray. The meeting addressed the current economic perspectives, the main coverage provided CESCE and his presence in LATAM.
The President of the Chamber of Seville, Francisco Herrero León, was in charge of opening the event and announced that in 2020 the entity will launch “trade missions in Colombia, Chile and Mexico to promote and strengthen the internationalization of Andalusian companies".
During his speech, the President of CESCE, Ferdinand Salazar, recalled some of the main risks that are currently affecting the markets, such as the Brexit, the situation unleashed by the coronavirus in China and tariff war. Salazar has highlighted the work of advice and commercial risk coverage and surety carried out by CESCE and explained that, today, the company insures more than 40.000 million euros in invoices. Furthermore, he highlighted that 86% of CESCE's clients are SMEs and that, only in Andalucía, the insurer has 1.500 policies, of which 987 are SMEs.

For her part, the Director of Country Risk and Debt Management of CESCE, Inés Menéndez de Luarca, has focused on the slowdown in economic growth in Latin America. “The growing social conflict, political uncertainty and the presence of significant fiscal and external imbalances are among the main risk factors. However, the region continues to offer interesting business opportunities for Spanish companies for which CESCE provides its support,” he highlighted.
Regarding the presence of CESCE in LATAM, the Director of CESCE Subsidiaries, Jesus Urdangaray, recalled that the insurer has just celebrated 20 years in the area and that, today, it is operational in 10 countries around the world; 7 of them, in Latin America.
From February 5 to 7, CESCE celebrates its 33rd annual convention in Seville. Through its state account and own account areas, CESCE provides companies with a range of flexible tools and coverage, for large companies and SMEs, that allow them to operate with greater security in their commercial relationships.
