The Chilean government, through the Ministry of Public Works, will begin an investment promotion mission to South Korea and Japan on July 20, 2026. The objective is to present the portfolio of infrastructure projects and attract Asian capital through public-private partnerships.
Commercial offensive to attract Asian investment in infrastructure
The Government of Chile, through the Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP), will begin an investment promotion mission in Corea del Sur y Japón on July 20, 2026. The objective is to present the infrastructure project portfolio and attract Asian capital through public-private partnerships.
The delegation will be headed by the Undersecretary of Public Works, Nicolás Balmacedawho will seek to strengthen international cooperation and showcase the portfolio of projects of MOP to potential investors and strategic partners in both Asian markets. The visit's agenda includes meetings with government officials, multilateral organizations, as well as companies and institutions from the public and private sectors.
During the meetings, investment opportunities and business models will be discussed in detail. public-private partnership (PPP) providing Chile and the exchange of best practices in infrastructure development and management. The initiative, promoted by the agency InvestChileIt aims to position the country as an attractive and safe destination for foreign capital in a sector that is key to its competitiveness.
