With a history of more than 54 years in the aluminum sector, Clemente González Soler assumes the presidency of ASELAM, a key association for the Spanish industry. His vast experience, which includes leading roles at the National Aluminum Company (ENDASA) and Alcan Aluminio, as well as the founding of Alibérico, the leading private family-owned Spanish and European manufacturer of semi-processed aluminum products, positions him as an ideal leader to face current challenges. Daniel Jubera, commercial director of Aludium, was appointed vice president.
The selection of González Soler reflects ASELAM's commitment to strengthening the industry and promoting the use of rolled aluminum products, a highly recyclable material essential in sectors such as packaging, construction, transportation, and industry.
ASELAM, which represents the entire Spanish aluminum rolling industry, with an annual production of 500.000 tons, equivalent to 10% of European production, is embarking on this new phase in a context marked by the need to revitalize the European industrial fabric.
This appointment, the result of a unanimous decision by the partners, marks a milestone in ASELAM's history, which seeks to strengthen the position of the aluminum rolling industry in the Spanish and European panorama.
The companies that form part of ASELAM are: Aludium, Ucin Aluminio, Gradhermetic, Alumasa, Baux and Iberfoil. Together, these companies are a fundamental pillar of the Spanish economy.
"ASELAM begins its journey in a complex context, in which Europe needs to recover its industrial fabric and equip itself with a clear strategy for resources and raw materials," says Clemente González Soler.
This new leadership at ASELAM seeks to boost the competitiveness of the Spanish aluminum industry, promote sustainability, and foster innovation in a strategic sector for the economy.
