La +STEAM Alliance, a joint initiative of Directives of Aragón and CEOE Aragón with the aim of converting Autonomous community in a benchmark in the technology sector, continues to add support. Today the logistics clusters have joined it (ALIA), energy (CLEAN), aerospace (THE AGE), porcine (i+PORC), efficient use of water (ZINNAE) and audiovisual sector (CLADA).

The accession signing took place in Technological Institute of Aragon (ITA), after a day dedicated to the Artificial Intelligence applied in various strategic sectors. The signatories agreed on highlighting "the urgent need to promote technological talent to address the digital transformation that all sectors are experiencing" and the importance of collaborative initiatives such as the +STEAM Alliance to achieve this.

This alliance represents a new step on the path to bringing together the maximum number of entities around the promotion of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Design and Mathematics) talent in Aragon. The Teruel City Council joined the initiative this Monday.

The +STEAM Alliance is consolidated as a key platform to promote technological talent in Aragon and turn the region into a benchmark in the sector

The +STEAM Alliance was launched last year with the publication of the report "Awakening STEAM Vocations" by Directivas and CEOE Aragón, in collaboration with Aragonese companies, clusters, and professional associations. The report advocates for a strategic commitment to the ICT sector in the region, involving all stakeholders to make Aragón a leading hub.

Achieving this goal requires:

  • Promote the generation and recruitment of talent.
  • Promote STEAM vocations.
  • Increase university and Vocational Training degrees in these areas.

Artificial Intelligence, key to digital transformation

The day prior to the signing has shown how Artificial Intelligence is revolutionizing sectors such as industry, energy, agri-food and smart cities. Experts from participating companies have shared examples of how AI is already being used to:

  • Decision making based on data.
  • Knowledge management and its transfer.
  • Predictive maintenance.
  • The management of energy markets.
