COFIDES drives Pérez-Llorca's expansion in Portugal

In a bid to strengthen its international expantion, the law firm Pérez-Llorca has received significant support from COFIDES, which has granted a loan of 4,5 millones de euros to finance the expansion and refurbishment of its offices in Lisbon. This operation is carried out under the framework of the Foreign Investment Fund (FIEX) and is part of the program COFIDES Impact, linked to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan with Next GenerationEU financing.

The total project amounts to 6,4 millones de euros and its main objective is to consolidate the firm's presence in Portugal, considered a key market for its global strategy. The new premises are located at 21 Barata Salgueiro Street, a privileged area of Lisbon.

Miguel Ángel Ladero, corporate director of the COFIDES Investments department, highlighted: “Major Spanish companies are successfully leading their international expansion. At COFIDES, we want to be their financial partner to boost their international strategy and strengthen their presence in global markets.”.

On the other hand, Iván Delgado, international managing partner at Pérez-Llorca, said: “One of the Firm’s main focuses is our international expansion and growth. Proof of this is the opening of our office in Lisbon this year, where more than 30 professionals already work.”.

This project not only seeks to improve working conditions through efficient spaces but also to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), especially those related to gender equality and sustainable economic growth. In addition, a reduction in financial costs is expected as significant progress is made in reducing the environmental impact of the daily operation of the new building.
