Technical collaboration of the Valenciaport Foundation with the public company Portos de Paraná

The Valenciaport Foundation proposes pioneering proposals

Last August, the Valenciaport Foundation signed an important technical collaboration with the public company Portos de Paraná with the main objective of modernizing the Brazilian ports of Paranaguá and Antonina through the simultaneous development of four technical assistance in the areas of technology, innovation and training .

The proposals presented by the Valenciaport Foundation They are pioneers in Brazil and include benchmark digitalization strategies in the most important and efficient ports in the world.

Luis Fernando García, CEO of Portos do Paraná: “to have at our side the Valenciaport Foundation, assisting in these strategic projects, will transform our ports for the future. It is a recognized institution and Paraná wants to absorb this knowledge to remain at the forefront among Brazilian ports. I am sure that it will be one of the historical milestones in international cooperation.”

Among the projects, the future design of the port community system (PCS) of Ports of Paraná, which will connect the multiple systems used by different organizations involved in port-logistics activity, integrating information from the entire logistics chain, marking a before and after in the way the port and its port community operate.

On the other hand, the innovative proposal to implement the system Port (The Harbour District) Collaborative Decision Making (PortCDM) in the ports managed by Porto do Paraná. With this technical assistance, it will develop a new digital model to manage maritime operations, in real time, among all the agents involved in the arrival and departure of ships.

Together with the port of Valencia, it will be among the first in the world to apply this concept. PortCDM is an incredible innovation and Paraná will be a reference for ports in all countries.”

Finally, the cooperation will address the issue of digital security and data protection technology, with totally innovative technical assistance as it is a cybersecurity action specially designed for administrations and port operators.

This partnership between both entities originated in a series of conversations about what Portos do Paraná planned for the future and what the Foundation envisioned for Latin America. This meeting of ideas allowed us to discuss unprecedented joint work in a Latin American port.”

The projects will be completely bilingual and will also provide for the training of public company employees Ports of Paraná in building a “smart port”, using automation and innovative technologies to improve performance.

With the development of these initiatives, it is expected that the Ports of Paraná will gain prominence on the European stage, attracting new investments and increasing movements.
