Day in Seville

The Seville Chamber of Commerce today organized a conference on Colombia, commercial and investment opportunities. The inauguration was chaired by the ambassador of Colombia, Mr. Alberto Furmanski.

As general data for Colombia, 55% of the population is under 30 years old, it has an area of 1.141.000 square kilometers, being similar to Spain and France combined. It is the only country in South America with access to the Pacific and Atlantic oceans and has 9 cities with more than 500 thousand inhabitants.

During the day, legal security was emphasized since it has become a very reliable country, being the safest country in Latin America to do business. From ICEX they highlighted that Latin America is a pending subject for Spain and that we have not yet known how to take advantage of those family and language ties that we have.

The Latin American country is emerging from a dark period of terrorism, offering great investment opportunities. The location of the country is strategic since it is less than 6 hours from the main cities of America. It is expected that in 2025, the middle class will represent 46% of the population.

The day closed with success stories from Andalusian companies such as Grupo Azvi, Iturri and Migasa that have established themselves in the Colombian market.
