Morocco is the 10th largest recipient of Spanish exports, and the 3rd largest outside the EU
The Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, Luis Planas, highlighted today the complementarity of bilateral economic relations between the two countries and the wide range of cooperation possibilities that arise from it in the business sector.
According to the content of his speech at Al Akhawayne University in the Moroccan town of Ifran, provided to the press by the Spanish Embassy in the Alawite country, Morocco is consolidating itself as one of the most dynamic markets for Spain and is a preferred country for short and long-term foreign investments.
The senior Spanish official noted that Morocco is the tenth largest recipient of Spanish exports and the third largest outside the European Union, after the United States and Mexico, and that it offers numerous business opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, textiles, energy, and tourism.
According to the ambassador, Spain's preference for that country is explained both by its geographical proximity and by the existence of a workforce with a great capacity for learning and by macroeconomic stability resulting from the application of policies aimed at reducing inflation and external debt.
Planas also referred to the Investment and Business Cooperation Forum, organized annually to seek strategic alliances, and did not forget the lines of financial support open for companies from both countries with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of bilateral relations.
