The United States challenges the European Union with new reciprocal tariffs.
The US president has announced the imposition of tariffs on several trading partners, with the EU in the spotlight. The measure, which does not yet have an implementation date or specific details, targets European VAT and the so-called "Google Tax." With this strategy, the US administration seeks to reduce its trade deficit and increase its negotiating power with Brussels. This move could intensify the transatlantic trade war and affect numerous exporting companies.
And speaking of foreign trade, A delegation of fifty Spanish companies has travelled to Poland to strengthen trade relations and seek new investment opportunities. Spain continues to invest in the Polish market as one of its main partners in Eastern Europe, in a context marked by economic growth and the modernisation of infrastructure in the country.
Mexico is at a crossroads in the face of the nearshoring phenomenon and its relationship with the United States. In a new global framework, the relocation of companies represents a great opportunity for the Mexican economy, but also poses challenges in terms of competitiveness, infrastructure and trade agreements. Analysts point out that the country must accelerate key reforms to maximize the benefits of this trend.
In the technological field, Minsait, part of the Indra Group, will modernize Aruba's electrical grid with cutting-edge technology. The Spanish company will implement smart grids and an advanced measurement platform to improve energy efficiency on the Caribbean island.

And in terms of maritime security, Indra leads a European project to strengthen surveillance in ports with artificial intelligence and underwater robotics. In the business field, SaveFamily, the Spanish company specialising in family technology, has grown by 31% in the last year and is approaching 9 million euros in turnover. Its international expansion and the success of its smartwatches have boosted its sales in an increasingly competitive sector.
And we continue with news from the agri-food sector. Spain is strengthening its presence in the German and Japanese markets with its participation in two of the most important fairs in the sector: Biofach and Supermarket Trade Show. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and FIAB, Spanish companies are seeking to position themselves in key markets for foreign trade in food and beverages.
Furthermore, in the legal field, Spanish is gaining ground in international arbitration. A forum organised by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce has highlighted the advantages of using Spanish in arbitration proceedings, which represents a boost for Latin American companies in terms of legal security and cost reduction.
And in Madrid, The Chamber of Commerce has launched an initiative to train companies in international trade control and dual-use products. A key program to help companies comply with global regulations and strengthen their competitiveness.
