DFactory Barcelona, the largest industry 4.0 ecosystem in the south of Europe promoted and managed by Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB), has hosted a conference on collaborative robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) organized by Universal robots, together with OnRobot, Robotnik and Siemens. Among the more than 200 people who attended the event, profiles of managers/CEOs, engineers, industrial managers, as well as an important representation of the education and research sector stand out.
The special delegate of the State in the Free Zone Consortium, Pere Navarro He welcomed the participants in the event and, during the reception, expressed his conviction that "it is our responsibility to turn new technologies into opportunities to improve the economy, working conditions, and training. And cobots play a fundamental role in this regard."
The event included an exhibition and demonstration of companies that create applications that allow the implementation of collaborative robotics in a wide range of possibilities.
Under the title “We are Cobots”, The day has served to deepen innovation and explore the possibilities of collaborative robotics and AI to transform the economy, through some success stories such as bonÀrea, Puig and HP. In this regard, the Country Manager of Universal Robots, Jordi Pelegrí, has assured that "the success of collaborative robotics is based on the ease of use, greater flexibility in production, collaboration and safety."
Furthermore, the Robotnik CMO, María Benítez, has pointed out that “the most robotized countries are those with the highest employment rates, therefore, robotics cannot be seen as a threat but as an opportunity for collaboration and to be more competitive.”
In the same facilities of DFactory Barcelona, the event had an exhibition and demonstration section of 15 companies specialized in the creation of applications for robots that allow the implementation of collaborative robotics in a wide range of possibilities, such as simple screwdriving tasks. or palletizing, techniques such as welding or quality inspection, or that involve decisions such as those made by artificial intelligence, among others.
