DHL announces its export awards to recognize Spanish SMEs

A lot of participation is expected

The objective of the awards is to highlight the work of SMEs that are committed to the foreign market, that are competitive, innovative and that have implemented an e-commerce strategy, competing in high-level global markets.


The call for a new edition of the DHL Atlas Awards to Export. Miguel Borras, general director of DHL Express, has explained the purpose of these awards and expects a lot of participation. The period to submit applications will be open until September 12, 2021, and must be done through the website www.premiosdhlatlas.com. 

 

 

DHL is the world's leading brand in the logistics and transportation sector and has more than 40 years of experience in the Spanish market. The objective of the awards is to highlight the work of SMEs that are committed to the foreign market, that are competitive, innovative and that have implemented an e-commerce strategy, competing in high-level global markets. Furthermore, these awards are a recognition of those SMEs that, in a year as difficult as 2020 has been with the coronavirus pandemic, have taken risks to reach international markets. 

 

Last call, 175 applications were submitted and DHL once again presents four categories: Atlas Export Grand Prize, awarded to the company that has achieved the greatest success during 2020, in terms of exports; Accesit for the Most Innovative Export, to the company that has applied a greater degree of innovation in the management of its export project in 2020; Second prize for the Most Sustainable Export, awarded to the company that has included the most sustainable actions in its export process in 2020; and Export Access through the e-commerce for the company with the highest growth in terms of exports in 2020: opening of new markets, opening of markets in emerging countries and increased turnover specifically in terms of exports through e-commerce. 

 

This year the jury will be made up of Xiana Mendez, Secretary of State for Commerce, as honorary president; Julián López-Arenas, Director of Competitiveness of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce; Pablo Lopez, general director of the Renowned Brands Forum; Juan Miguel Marquez, director of Institutional Cooperation at ICEX; Alfredo Bonet, general secretary of the Círculo de Empresarios; Cesar Tello, CEO of Adigital, and Nicolas Mouze, Director of Marketing and Sales at DHL Express.
