Dominion and Equita Capital join forces to boost photovoltaic projects in Italy

Dominion, recognized for its sustainable services and projects, has announced a key partnership with Equita Capital, a leading Italian investment bank. This agreement involves the divestment of 75% of Dominion's stake in four new photovoltaic projects located in Sicily and Basilicata, which have a total capacity of 74 MW. Two of these projects have already started construction: Troina in Sicily with 16,2 MW and Tolve 2 in Basilicata with 16,6 MW. The other two are expected to start up during the second quarter of 2025.

Equita Capital SGR, through its background EQUITA Green Impact Fund (EGIF), classified under Article 9 of the European SFDR Regulation, will oversee the development under strict ESG policies. This collaboration also seeks to optimize the sale of energy generated through corporate PPAs focused on ESG criteria and other strategies such as merchant sales and public auctions with GSEs.

Roberto Tobillas, CEO of Dominion, highlighted: “This alliance is a clear sign of our strategy in renewable infrastructure. We are focused on generating value through the development and construction of new infrastructure while reaching long-term agreements.”
