El Castellón airport will host a special charter operation between September 22 and 27 to transport nearly a thousand representatives of the ceramic sector to the fair Cersaie of Bologna, one of the world's most important events in this field. With a total of ten scheduled flights, five outbound and five return, approximately 2.000 passengers will be transported between both routes.
The Minister of Environment, Infrastructure and Territory, Vicente Martínez Mus, has expressed its satisfaction with the airport's contribution to the ceramic sector, highlighting that this is the second time that this operation has been organised for the Cersaie fair. In addition, the number of passengers mobilised in 2024 exceeds that of the previous year. “Castellón airport serves an emblematic sector such as the ceramics sector, channelling the transfers of commercial delegations travelling to Bologna to participate in Cersaie, the most important fair in the world in its field,” said Martínez Mus.
The councillor also underlined the airport's commitment to the internationalization of the productive fabric of the province and its role as «ally of the business communityLocal. The operation has been organized by the operators El Corte Inglés Travel, BCD Travel and Nautalia, and outbound flights will take place on September 22, while return flights are scheduled between September 26 and 27.
Castellón Airport will have the necessary resources to handle the increase in passengers during these days, adding this special operation to its regular flight schedule.
