Atlético de Madrid to open football academy in Kazakhstan in autumn 2025

This project includes “strategic support and advanced football training methods,” according to sources from the Kazakh embassy in Spain.

The signing of the agreement took place at the Civitas Metropolitano and was attended by the CEO of Atlético, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, the ambassador of Kazakhstan in Spain, Danat Mussayev, and representatives of the Kazakh entities involved, DOSCAR GROUP and the public association Sport Asset Management.

Ambassador Danat Mussayev stressed the importance of this collaboration: “This agreement will not only strengthen relations between Kazakhstan and Spain, but will also allow our young footballers to access top-level training.”

Emilio Gutiérrez, director of the Atlético de Madrid Academy, said: “We are excited about this initiative. Our mission is to train the next generation of footballers in Kazakhstan using our experience and working methodology.”

With this agreement, Atlético de Madrid reaffirms its commitment to the development of international football, while Kazakhstan prepares to improve its resources in the training of sports talents.
