The Spanish Serrano Ham Consortium (CJSE) will be present in the next edition of SIAL, International Food Exhibition, which will take place from October 15 to 19 in Paris- Nord Villepinte, and in which the main professional producers and buyers of the industry will meet, bringing together a total of 7.200 exhibitors representing a total of 105 countries. For its part, this fair marked, in 1990, the international presentation of the entity, starting from then on the work of promoting and disseminating its quality seal.
In this way, the CJSE will participate in this event with an institutional stand next to the Spanish Chorizo Consortium and, during this call, it will carry out tastings to explain its work as an entity that guarantees the export of ConsorcioSerrano ham as a quality product, with the aim of continuing to promote the differential values of this product and position itself as a reference on the international scene.

The quantity and quality of the professionals who gather at this fair makes it a strategic point for the association, being one of the axes of the promotional campaign that we developed this year," he explains. Currently, France is the most relevant market for cured ham, with 5.300,14 tons exported during the first half of the year.
Likewise, the Spanish Serrano Ham Consortium has planned other promotional actions in France during the last quarter of 2022, with the aim of remaining a reference brand in the country among French consumers and professionals. For this reason, tastings will be carried out in stores and training in distribution chains, as well as trade marketing actions, advertising in specialized media in the sector and collaborations with gastronomic bloggers in the French market, in order to increase the positioning of social networks. of the CJSE in this market.
Furthermore, during this year's promotional campaign, the association focuses its efforts on reinforcing the visibility of the new ConsorcioSerrano seal, which certifies that the final consumer will enjoy a hand-selected serrano ham at its optimal time of consumption, guaranteeing values such as certification, selection, authenticity and Spanish origin.
For its part, France is the most relevant market for cured ham and one of the main destinations for the promotional actions of the Spanish Serrano Ham Consortium. Currently, the French country represents approximately 25% of ConsorcioSerrano ham exports and, at a sectoral level, it should be noted that exports have been carried out in this market with a total value of 53.008.652,31 euros during the first half of the year, registering a total of 5.300,14 tons exported during this period, with an average price per kilo of ham that was 10,00 euros/kg, 6,97% more than the previous year.
