Seville's aerospace sector foresees a growth of 19% in employment and 13% in turnover

The study estimates an increase in exports of between 5 and 10%

Seville's aerospace sector expects to create 2.500 new jobs and increase its sales by 1.000 million euros in 2023.

The aerospace sector Seville predicts a growth of 19% in employment and 13% in turnover in 2023, according to a study presented at the Seville Conference, Aerospace Province, Present, future and new opportunities for the sector.

The study, prepared by the Association of the Aeronautical Auxiliary Industry of Seville (AERO Seville) and the Federation of Metal Companies (FEDE ME), points out that Seville's aerospace sector has more than 2.000 companies and generates direct and indirect employment for more than 40.000 people.

The president of the Provincial Council of Seville, Javier Fernández, asked at the conference to expand the Andalusian Aerospace Technology Park (Aeropolis) to respond to the demand for land that exists for the sector.

The study also predicts an increase in exports of between 5% and 10% from a sector that hopes that the city of Seville will continue to hold the European capital of space in 2024.

To continue this dynamic, the sector trusts that the Spanish Space Agency arrives in Seville to increase participation in projects of high technological value.
