First steps

 

Isabel Romero, director of the Halal Institute, has detailed that the next step is to request the Ministry of Industry that is called 'Halal Cluster', after the completion of a strategic plan that supports the development of the project, something that will allow us to "address Europe and begin to take action." Meanwhile, Romero pointed out that this 'Cluster' is "the tool that will allow support and positioning for industries and service providers that have already committed to this global market and especially for those that will do so in the coming decades," for which "Córdoba and Andalusia They are in a privileged position in the movement of goods between major producers and consumers" and "in their geographical proximity to the north and center of Africa«.

 

He also specified that "more than 500 national and international companies expect to access the range of services that this will provide 'Cluster', such as advice, promotion and communication; design and organization of events related to the 'halal' market and tourism; support at specialized fairs; research and development; training and verification in all areas of food safety and 'halal' traceability, and 'halal' certification under professional procedures," among others.

 

Halal Industrial Park

Furthermore, in a second phase, the establishment of a halal industrial park will be promoted, "a specialized space with integrated services for industries interested in setting up in the city and province, to serve as a model for Europe and surrounding countries," as she indicated. To this end, the director of the Halal Institute has noted that with the creation of the 'Halal Cluster Cordoba' "One of the objectives pursued has been achieved by reaching the maximum institutional and private consensus to make it a successful project," although he believes that "now the great challenge remains, 'for Córdoba to experience the 'Cluster' as its own project.'"
