The Ministry of Agriculture and FIAB promote the presence of Spanish Foods in international markets with a new agreement

 

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAP) has signed an agreement with the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (fairy tale) to promote the Foods of Spain brand en international markets through participation in 14 trade fairs between 2024 and 2025. The agreement, with a budget of 930.000 euros, has shared financing, with the ministry providing 50% of the total.

 

This agreement aims to strengthen the visibility of Spanish agri-food products in Europe, Asia, Middle East and America, thus reinforcing the presence of exporting companies in the sector. Notable fairs such as the Speciality & Fine Food in London, ISM Middle East in Dubai and PLMA in Chicago are included in the 2024 programme, while in 2025 the focus will be on events such as Winter Fancy Food in Las Vegas, Sirha in Lyon and SIAL China.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) emphasized that "the constant breaking of records in agri-food exports demonstrates the strength and competitiveness of the Spanish sector internationally." This agreement reinforces the Spanish government's commitment to the Capabilities from a sector that stands out for the quality and diversity of its products.

 

The Spanish Food Strategy, currently being drafted, has among its priorities the positioning of Spain as a global leader in food and gastronomy. Participation in international fairs is a key pillar in this strategy, seeking to attract international buyers and consolidate a world-renowned image of quality.
