Minister Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Alfonso Dastis, has made his first official trip to Algeria, strategic partner of Spain in the region of Magreb.

 

Minister Dastis has been received by the Algerian Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, and has held consultations with his counterpart, Ramtane Lamamraand with the Minister of Energy Nourredine Boutarfa.

 

From the perspective of the VII High-Level Meeting, which will host Algeria On this occasion, both delegations expressed their willingness to deepen and diversify their excellent bilateral relations, which include intensive political dialogue and exemplary cooperation on security and migration. Regarding the former, the delegations reviewed the launch in December 2016 of the Strategic Dialogue in matters of security between both countries.
