The Port Authority of Las Palmas manages the four ports located in the province: Las Palmas, Arinaga and Salinetas (Gran Canaria), Arrecife (Lanzarote), and Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura).
Of these, the Port of Las Palmas stands out as a unique space, comparable to other offshore areas around the world, for the protection of assets and investments at a distance.
Since 1998, the Port of Las Palmas has had a Free Trade Zone and plans to establish another one in the Port of Arinaga. Both provide support for companies seeking low taxes and a prime strategic location.
Alongside the Free Trade Zone, a Logistics Activities Zone (ZAL) will be developed on a one million square meter area in the Port of Las Palmas and Arinaga. This is a fully urbanized area for the production, processing, handling, and marketing of goods.
