The Iberian acorn-fed sausage El Catedrático from Salamanca, declared the 'Best in the World 2025'

El Frankfurt International Ham & Sausage Trophy, known for its rigor and prestige in the food industry, has highlighted this year the Iberian acorn-fed sausage The Professor as the best in the world. The competition was held in Berlin and it is the first time that products such as Serrano hams, chorizos and other sausages are evaluated together with vegan options.

170 samples of sausages were presented

Since its inception in 2017, this competition has been a meeting point for global wine, beer and dairy producers. However, this year it marked a milestone by including cold cuts and sausages among its evaluated categories. An expert jury conducted exhaustive tastings to determine the winners among the 170 products presented.
