The recent meeting between the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, and a delegation of businessmen from the CEAPI (Business Council Alliance for Ibero-America) has highlighted the growing attractiveness of the Central American country as destination for foreign investment.
The meeting, which took place at the Casa Presidencial, was attended by 50 presidents and senior executives of important companies from twelve Ibero-American countries. The president of CEAPI, Núria VilanovaHe emphasized that "El Salvador is generating interest worldwide" thanks to its transformation into "the safest country in the Americas." This change, according to Vilanova, has had a "direct impact on attracting investment across all sectors," an opportunity that Latin American business leaders are keen to seize.

President Bukele expressed his satisfaction with the arrival of high-level business leaders, who have witnessed firsthand the improved climate of security, both for citizens and the legal system, which facilitates investment in various sectors. Bukele shared his vision of a prosperous country offering every opportunity for both domestic and international investment, having achieved the "miracle of security."
"When we started making major reforms in 2021, many people liked what we were doing, but some were scared. We bet on a Complete reform of the judicial system "And it worked for us, because now we are the safest country in the Western Hemisphere," the president stated.
Bukele also reaffirmed his commitment to the country's economic growth, an objective he considers the "second miracle." He highlighted the impressive growth in sectors such as tourism and real estate, recognized by international financial institutions and organizations.
Among the Spanish businessmen present at the meeting, figures such as Arturo de las Heras García (CEF Educational Group - UDIMA), Ángel García-Cordero Celis (ANTA Group), Josep Graells (Vallformosa), Rafael Guardans Cambó (PROEDUCA), José Antonio Hurtado (CoxAbengoa), Gonzalo Oliver Amatriaín (Enhol Business Group) and Raúl Samper (Quality and Smart) stood out. These businessmen had the opportunity to express to President Bukele their interest and expectations of investing in the country.
In addition to the meeting with the president, CEAPI businessmen participated in working meetings with ministers and other officials of the Salvadoran government to learn about the initiatives and investment opportunities in different sectors. A working lunch was also organized with prominent figures Salvadoran businessmen and a reception hosted by the Spanish ambassador to El Salvador, Sonia Álvarez Cibanal, which was attended by Spanish businessmen already operating in the country.
