SIL 2025 accelerates the transformation of the logistics sector with innovation and talent.

 

El International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) 2025Organized by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB), will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, June 18, at the venue Montjuic-Plaza España at Fira de BarcelonaUntil next Friday, June 20, this leading global event will bring together the elite of the logistics, transportation, intralogistics, and supply chain sectors.

 

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the CZFB booth, will feature prominent political and business figures. Among them are Jose Antonio Santano, Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility; Jordi Terrades, Secretary General of Territory, Housing and Economic Transition of Catalonia; Jordi Valls, Deputy Mayor of Barcelona City Council; Carlos Prieto, Government delegate in Catalonia; Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State to the CZFB and president of the SIL; and Blanca Sorigué, general director of CZFB and SIL.

 

More than 14.000 participants are expected, with the participation of 650 companies, 30% of them international, which will not only exhibit the 163 world-exclusive new products mentioned above, but will also organize more than 250 parallel events. The importance of SIL is not only measured by its capacity, but also by the projected economic impact of more than 50 million euros in the city and its metropolitan area during the three days of celebration.

Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the CZFB and president of the SIL, stressed the relevance of the event by stating that "this year the participating companies will present in a world exclusive more than 160 innovations, a figure that shows the importance of the SIL as a international reference fair and has become the global launching pad for many companies in the sector." Navarro also highlighted the dynamism of the sector: "The logistics sector is very dynamic and well advanced in its technological transformation, with the implementation of technological advances that have contributed to greater efficiency, optimization, traceability, and sustainability. All of this is allowing new job opportunities to emerge with next-generation profiles."

 

One of the most innovative initiatives of SIL 2025 will be the live replay of a digitalized supply chain, the result of a collaboration between 15 companies. The event will also feature the participation of 100 startups, which reinforces the commitment to technological innovation and entrepreneurship.

 

SIL Knowledge: A Space for Debate and Future Vision

 

The international congress SIL Knowledge It stands as the epicenter of debate and reflection, with 70 presentations and 320 international speakersLogistics and supply chain directors from companies such as PC Componentes, Silbon, Ebro, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, ​​Amazon, Dr. Oetker Ibérica, Nestlé Purina, Clecat, Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, SEAT, Kern Pharma, and Synthesia Technology Europe, among others, will share their perspectives and experiences.

 

Under the motto “Innovation and Talent for a sustainable future”, SIL Knowledge will focus on crucial thematic axes such as digital transformation of the sector and the application of AI, the influence of sociopolitical strategies on supply chains, decarbonization and sustainability, as well as talent management, recruitment, and retention.

 

SIL's commitment to the Mediterranean region is materialized through the MedaLogistics Week, in collaboration with ASCAME. This event will explore new business opportunities in Europe, Asia and Africa, including the MedPorts & Shipping Summit and the African Logistics Meeting.

 

Additionally, the SIL will host various technical workshops organized by key organizations such as UNO (the Business Organization of Logistics and Transport), the General Council of Associations of Customs Agents and Customs Representatives of Spain (FERRMED), and the Quo Vadis Workshop organized by CIMALSA, among others.

Barcelona will once again become the world capital of logistics from June 18 to 20 with SIL.
