El International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) 2025 is preparing to open its doors in Fira Barcelona, anticipating an event that will exceed expectations. One week after its opening, the fair already has more than 14.000 registered professionals, of which one 94% have decision-making capacity or influence in their companiesThis data underscores the quality of the attendees and the business potential that will be generated during the event. Visitors are mostly looking to learn about the latest market developments (46%) and connect with exhibitors and suppliers (43%).
This edition of SIL will bring together more than 650 participating companies, with an outstanding international presence of 30%These companies will present More than 160 world-exclusive innovations and will organize more than 250 events parallel, reaffirming the dynamic and purposeful nature of the fair. The diversity of the sectors represented is notable, with 23% companies dedicated to transport, another 23% to intralogistics solutions, and 19% from the technology sector (IT and 4.0).

The meeting will have a significant participation of Spanish Autonomous Communities, which will showcase their infrastructure and logistical potential. It is estimated that the economic impact on the city of Barcelona will exceed 50 millones de euros in the areas of catering, commerce and accommodation.
Innovation as a central axis
One of the great novelties of this edition is the strong integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the SIL digital platform, called SIL Virtual AI PlatformThis tool is designed to maximize networking between companies and professionals. Its features include a smart agenda which suggests events, sessions or meetings of interest to the visitor, based on their registration preferences, and the virtual assistant SILVIA, able to answer questions on the platform and on the interactive screens in the room.
Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the CZFB and president of the SIL, highlighted the strategic vision of the event: "The International Logistics Exhibition has been committed for years to three fundamental pillars: business strategy, with exhibition and representation of the entire supply chain, as well as offering first-class knowledge and networking. The SIL is strategic for the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium, and will become increasingly so. In this edition, we will generate more wealth, more business, and more innovation for the logistics sector.«.

Another notable space is the Digital Supply Chain, an exhibition area simulating a digital supply chain with daily demonstrations and the participation of 15 companies from the Barcelona Free Trade Zone ecosystem. The fair will also provide a platform for more than 100 startups to present their innovative solutions at the Startup Meeting Area, and the Logistics 4.0 Incubator of the CZFB will be present again. More than 160 innovations developed with technologies such as AI, 5G, Blockchain and IoT, will compete for the SIL 2025 Best Innovation Award.
A space for knowledge and talent
Under the motto "Innovation and Talent for a sustainable future", the SIL Knowledge Will offer 350 speakers and 70 knowledge sessions in three different spaces. Success stories from leading companies such as PC Componentes, Nestlé Purina, and SEAT will be presented, and crucial topics will be addressed, such as the application of new technologies, the impact of geopolitical changes on the supply chain, sustainable solutions for the decarbonization of transport, and the challenge of attracting talent.
The international dimension of SIL will be strengthened with the celebration of the MedaLogistics Week and, as a novelty, the International Congress of the General Council of Colleges of Customs Agents and Customs RepresentativesTo facilitate networking, the fair will offer tools such as B2B meetings and the Job Market Place, in collaboration with Barcelona Activa, where interviews will be held to fill vacancies in the logistics sector.
