The Spanish company ELEC has announced the award of the development of the Azulão Complex, an energy project located in Silves (Amazon state) for the Brazilian operator eneva. The project, with an investment of close to 390 million euros, includes the construction of a combined cycle plant, a gas treatment unit and an electrical substation.
Elecnor has extensive experience in the construction of generation plants, transmission lines and electrical substations, and has participated in large-scale projects in countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.
The Azulão Complex is part of the expansion plans of the Brazilian energy sector, with the aim of increasing the capacity of electricity generation and guarantee a reliable supply to the country's growing demand. The combined cycle plant will have a nominal gross power of 590 MW, while the natural gas treatment unit will process an average of 4,3 million cubic meters of gas per day.
