Rodríguez has a degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Granada, with a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA) from the EHESS in Paris. Subsequently, she completed an executive master's degree in public administration (EMPA) at Maxwell's School of Government as a Fulbright student.
In 2010 he joined the Higher Corps of Civil Administrators of the State. In the Civil Administration of the State, she has provided services as Technical Deputy General Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism and the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda and Deputy Director of International Relations, both in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. Until 2016 she held different positions in the Ministry of Science and Innovation, Turespaña and the Undersecretariat of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
In her last stage, she has performed the functions of head of the support unit for the Directorate of the Spanish office of the patents and brand, has been part of the Board of Directors of the European Patent Office (EPO) and has been representative of Spain before the World Industrial Property Organization.
Rodríguez replaces Aída Fernández González, who has held the position since October 2022.
