Public Land Company of Andalusia, the leading urban development operator in the region

The Public Land Company, dependent on the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the Andalusian Regional Government, is the leading regional urban development operator in the Andalusian Autonomous Community in terms of the total volume of its investments, intervening in the land market to meet the demands of the sectoral policies of the Andalusian Regional Government - in matters of housing and productive activities - and to support the processes of implementation of municipal urban development plans.
Established in 1998, the company acquires and prepares land for residential, industrial, and/or commercial use, and redevelops neighborhoods and industrial parks on land transferred to it. Commissioned by the Regional Ministry of Public Works and Transport, it repairs neighborhoods owned by the Regional Government of Andalusia and manages land for the direct development of public housing.

As a promoter of subsidized housing, the company's intervention focuses primarily on supporting the plans of the Andalusian Regional Government, emphasizing schemes with greater social reach, and promoting the participation of local councils and other public institutions.

Furthermore, its participation adds value to the objectives of the Andalusian Regional Government's housing policy, not so much due to its level of production, but rather the quality of its involvement. Certain projects stand out for their uniqueness, incorporating criteria of technological innovation—such as the application of new technologies for energy efficiency—or technical expertise, as exemplified by the Andalusian Public Land Company's participation in the EUROPAN competitions for young European architects, through the execution of the winning projects.

One of the main lines of business for this public company is industrial land development. In this area, the Andalusian Public Land Company actively participates in the development of numerous plots of land for industrial or commercial use, often managing the sale of these plots once developed. Within these industrial land projects, collaboration between the Andalusian Public Land Company and other government agencies, as well as public and private companies, is common.
