Andalusian Habitat companies learn about the Canal Contract offer in a meeting organized by Extenda

Presidency, Public Administration and Interior informs in a day of the possibility of collaboration in international furniture, architecture and decoration projects.


A total of 17 Andalusian companies have participated in the III Andalusian Meeting of Canal Contract Operators, organized by the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interiorthrough Extenda-Andalusian Foreign Promotion Agency and which was held at its headquarters in Seville.

 

The objective of this meeting is to provide information on risk management in the Contract Channel in international projects, as well as enabling cooperation between the different Andalusian operators of the Contract Channel (prescribers and industry).

 

The meeting began with a technical day in which they participated as speakers David Cámara Navarro, from UNEX, (Business Association of Habitat, its Internationalization and Contract) and the expert Jose Manuel Soriano, with more than 20 years of experience in construction projects Contract in Spain, France, Morocco and the Middle East.

 

After the day, presentations were made by the attending companies and networking time was enabled between the Andalusian operators present.

 

Andalusian presence

 

The companies present at the event mainly belong to the habitat, furniture, lighting, home textiles, construction materials, interior decoration, architecture, equipment, design, engineering, and hospitality sectors.

 

Specifically, seven companies from Seville (Artelia, Finsa, Zero Houses, Guadarte, DocciaGroup, Interiorismo Conceptual Estudio, Universo Eirin); five from Córdoba (Daluz Multiservicios, Fricold, Hobaco, Cocinas Pino, Supratex); three of Jaen (Alvic Group, Pepe Alonso, Innovus) and two of Malaga (Soffitti, Moraplex).

 

The organization of this action by extend will be co-financed with funds from the European Union through the P.EITHER. ERDF of Andalusia 2014-2020, endowed with a community contribution of 80%.

 

 

 

According to data from Extenda, Andalusian exports in the habitat sector have doubled in the last decade, with a growth of 120% since 2009, reaching a figure of 276 million in 2018.

According to data from extend, Andalusian exports of the habitat sector doubled in the last decade, with a growth of 120% since 2009, reaching the figure of 276 million in 2018. This increase is more than 79 points higher than the average of national sales in this period, which rose 41%.

 

A positive trend that continues at the beginning of 2019, since sales reached 63 million euros in the first quarter of the year, with an increase of 1,4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

 

The number of regular exporters in the habitat sector (more than four years exporting) has grown from 450 to 562, which represents an increase of 24,8% more in the last decade, with 112 more firms. In total, in 2018, 2.149 firms exported.

 

Seville leads sales with 121 million in 2018, 44% of the total with an increase of 559%, multiplying by more than six since 2009. They are followed by Almeria, with 63 million, 22,7%, with the largest increase among the provinces in this period and an increase of 1.165%, (multiplying its sales by more than 12); and Cordoba, with 35 million, 12,6% and an increase of 52%.

 

In fourth place is Cadiz, with 20,1 million, 7,3%, with a growth of 53%; followed by Malaga, with 19,9 million, 7,2%; Jaen, with 8,4 million, 3,1%; Granada, with 7,6 million, 2,8%, which grew by 133%; and Huelva, with 972.000 euros.

 

The best-selling products were kitchen furniture, with 75 million, 27,3%, doubling its bill with an increase of 121%; followed by brown line appliances (video and audio), with 62 million, 22,4%, which multiplies its figure by five with an increase of 429%; and home furniture, with 35 million, 12,8%.

 

France leads sales, with 79 million, 28,5% of the total and an increase of 127%, more than double; followed by Germany, , with 34 million, 12,2%, which multiplies its figure by six, with an increase of 502%; and Portugal, with €29,8 M, 10,8%, with an increase of 80%. Fourth is Morocco, with 12 million, 4,4%; the one they follow Kuwait, with 10,3 million, 3,7%, which is the market that is growing the most by multiplying its figure by 80, with an increase of 7.990%.
