Momad, Bisutex, MadridJoya and Intergift
The fashion and habitat sectors of Andalusia total more than 900 million euros in exports between January and November 2019.
A total of 102 Andalusian companies in the fashion, costume jewelry, jewelry and decoration sectors participate in the winter edition of the fairs Momad, Bisutex, MadridJoya and Intergift, organized by Ifema at the fairgrounds Juan Carlos I from Madrid from February 5 to 9. The community firms present their designs at these four international events with the support of the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interiorthrough Extenda-Andalusian Foreign Promotion Agency.

The CEO of Extenda, Arturo bernal, indicated that the most relevant buyers, designers and prescribers of the International panorama in their respective fields meet in these events organized in Ifema, which constitutes an “exceptional opportunity for the Andalusian companies of fashion and decoration show the value of their proposals.” In this sense, he highlighted that both sectors add more than 900 million exports between January and November 2019.
The organization of this action by extend will be co-financed with funds from the European Union through the ERDF PO of Andalusia 2014-2020, endowed with a community contribution of 80%.
Momad, the leading fashion show
mommad It is the great platform for business, fashion and trends in Spain. It is biannual and has growing international appeal. Especially important is the presence of buyers of Portugal, France and Italy, as well as professionals from more than twenty countries. In its last edition, it brought together 800 brands and 15.200 professional visitors from 37 countries.

Bisutex, the jewelry forum

MadridJoya, the latest trends
El International Urban and Trend Jewelry and Watch Show MadridJoya Biannually, it brings together the main companies and professionals in Jewelry, Goldsmithing, Watchmaking, Fine Gemstones and Pearls, Machinery, Case Making and Taqueria in the country. In its February 2019 edition, it brought together more than 7.000 professional visitors from 32 countries and 142 brands.

Intergift, leader in gifts and decoration
Intergift It is the leading commercial event for the gift and decoration sector in Spain, where new developments in interior design and textiles, high decoration, bazaars and gifts are presented biannually. More than 2019 professionals from 38.000 countries and 78 companies attended its September 838 edition.
In this February edition, 25 Andalusian firms participate with the support of Extenda, 15 Malaga (Daru, Belda Interiorismo, El taller del Agua, Exclusivas Camach, Aguilar Málaga, Tierra Viva, Majestic Garden, Crisal Decoracion, Vip Artesanías, Sekira, Sunso, byCiucca, Arguval, Decor Baraka and James Malone Fabrics); three of Seville (Doñana Upholstered, Ormo's and Guadarte); three of Cordoba (Fokobu, Del Río Salado and Rapa Importaciones); three of Jaen (Artesanías Parra, Artesanía San José and Senda Artesana); and one of Granada (Erik Group).
Fashion exports grow
Andalusian fashion exports totaled 706 million euros in the first eleven months of 2019, which represents an increase of 19,6% compared to the same period of the previous year. This growth is three times higher than that experienced by sales at the national level (5,2%) and places Andalucía as the community that grows the most of the ten largest exporters.
Malaga It is the first fashion exporting province, with more than a third of sales, 244 million, with an increase of 11,3% compared to January-November 2018. It is followed by Seville, with 153 million, 21,7% and an increase of 52%; Cadiz, with 132 million, 18,7% and an increase of 19,9%; Cordoba, with 81 million, 11,5% and an increase of 4,5%. Fifthly, there is Almeria, with 45 million, 6,3% and growth of 27,2%; followed by Jaen, with 21,8 million, 3,1% and an increase of 8%; Granada, with 19 million, 2,7%; and Huelva, with 10,1 million, 1,4% and an increase of 24,9%.
By subsectors, textile clothing and textile materials are the ones with the highest sales volume, with more than half of exports totaling 362 million between January and November. It is followed by jewelry and watches, with 119 million, 16,8% and a growth of 28,5% year-on-year. For its part, costume jewelry accounts for 0,7% of sales with 5 million euros exported in this period.
The fashion sector is a very diversified sector, which reaches four continents with its top ten markets. Italy is in the lead, with 89 million in the first eleven months of 2019, 12,6% and an increase of 5,9% compared to the same period of the previous year. They follow him Morocco, with 75 million, 10,6% and an increase of 18,5%; France, with 63 million, 9% of the total; Portugal, with 56 million, 7,9%; Switzerland, with 4 million, 6,5%, which multiplies its figure by four, with an increase of 321%; and Bangladesh, with 37 million, 5,2%, which also quadruples its figure (+351%).
Habitat exporting companies rise
According to data from extend, Andalusian exports of habitat (furniture, contract, ceramics, bathroom, etc.) reached 243 million euros in the first nine months of the year, a period in which exporting companies of the sector experienced a notable increase, growing by 17,9% compared to January-November 2018 to 2.136. Of them, a quarter are regular exporters (exporting for four years in a row), whose number increased by 2% in this period to 548 firms.
Seville, Almería and Córdoba They are the main exporting provinces in the sector, with more than three out of every four euros of sales. Seville leads, with 84 million exported between January and September, 44% of the total; followed by Almería, with 35 million, 18,4%; and Córdoba, with 26,3 million, 13,8% and a growth of 9,1%. In fourth place is Cádiz, with 17,8 million (9,4%) and an increase of 14,4%; and in fifth, Málaga, with 13,2 million (6,9%) of the total.
Habitat sales also enjoy great diversification. Andalucía, which reach four continents in its first eleven markets. Its main destinations are France, with 73 million, 30% of the total; Portugal, with 28,2 million, 11,6% and an increase of 3%; and Italy, with 16,9 million, 7% and growth of 83%. Among its non-EU markets, the following stand out: Morocco (5th market), with 12,4 million, 5,1% and increase of 10%; United States (8th destination), with 6,7 million, 2,7% and growth of 20,7%; Dominican Republic (9th position), with 4,3 million (1,8%) and an increase of 70%; and Saudi Arabia (11th market), with 2,8 million and an increase of 46%.
Extenda support for Andalusian fashion and habitat
Support for promotion at these fairs is included within the framework of the actions planned by Extenda for the fashion and habitat sectors of Andalusia, two areas that present great opportunities for foreign trade in the region.
Within the programming for the field of fashion, the community's firms will be able to participate in more than thirty fairs, as well as in a flamenco fashion showroom in Japan and another for artisan trades; direct missions to Berlin Fashion Week and the Paris Fashion Shows; and a reverse mission of children's ceremony.
Among the actions planned for the habitat sector, the support of extend to the participation of Andalusian companies in the fairs Habitat Valencia, Maison & Objet, Interhotel or the Milan Furniture Fair.
