The mission has been designed with an individualized approach for each company, allowing them to tailor meeting agendas to their priorities and most relevant markets. Growth and projections in key markets
Serbia, with a developing economy and large-scale projects such as the Waterfront Belgrade and Expo Belgrade 2027, is emerging as an attractive market. Demand in sectors such as construction, renewable energy, and engineering is booming, opening up a wide range of opportunities for companies in the region. In fact, exports from Castilla-La Mancha to Serbia already reached €18,68 million in 2024. Data for the first half of 2025 are even more promising, with a total of €9,64 million in exports, with a growth of over 108% in iron and steel manufacturing standing out.
Croatia, for its part, stands out as the second-largest economy in the region. The country offers particularly robust business opportunities in the development of transportation infrastructure, such as railways and airports, as well as in the water and renewable energy sectors. The railway sector, in particular, presents a considerable challenge and, at the same time, a great opportunity for Spanish engineering and consulting. Total exports from Castilla-La Mancha to Croatia in 2024 amounted to €18,77 million. In the first half of 2025, this figure grew by more than 31%, reaching €11,04 million.
IPEX emphasizes that these types of sector promotion missions are essential for companies in the region to explore new markets, consolidate their position, and identify potential clients and business partners. With initiatives like this, the Government of Castilla-La Mancha seeks to support the growth and diversification of its companies' exports.
