Spanish and Brazilian companies strengthen commercial ties at the annual dinner of the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce.

 

Madrid was the epicenter of an important meeting for the internationalization of the Spanish economy and the international Business at the recent annual gala dinner of the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce (CCBE). This event, which has already established itself as a benchmark, brought together members of the institution, personalities from the economy, business, public administration and culture, reflecting the dynamism of trade and diplomatic relations between Spain and Brazil.

 

Trinidad JimenezThe president of the CCBE highlighted the "climate of understanding that exists between both countries," underscoring the strength of bilateral ties. In her remarks, Jiménez emphasized the Brazil's economic potentialdescribing it as "an institutionally strong country that offers security and provides opportunities for doing business." He also highlighted two key milestones that Brazil will soon face: the Mercosur presidency and the hosting of the COP30 Climate Summit in Belémdescribing them as "sources of value and business" for companies. These events represent significant opportunities in the field of foreign trade and international investments.

 

The evening also included a moving tribute and farewell to Orlando Leite Ribeiro, Brazil's Ambassador to Spain, who is about to be reassigned. Trinidad Jiménez expressed her gratitude for his work and commitment over the past three years, during which, she said, he has helped strengthen bilateral relations and mutual understanding. Susana Sulmezo, Secretary of State for Ibero-America and the Caribbean and Spanish in the World at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and all members of the CCBE Board of Directors joined in this recognition.

 

The gala dinner had important institutional support from the Embassy of Brazil and Casa do Brasil, and the support of prominent sponsors such as Telefónica, Santander, Iberdrola, Cesce, Mapfre and Maraey, companies that demonstrate their commitment to the international Business and logistics between both markets.
