Spain towards a renewed sustainable tourism

 

Once again, Cajamar will be supporting the tourism industry at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which will take place at Ifema in Madrid. From Wednesday, January 21st, until January 25th. During these days, executives and professionals from the entity will once again show their support for this sector, which faces significant challenges, such as geopolitical tensions, changing consumption patterns and the need to promote sustainability, in consolidating Spain as one of the favorite destinations for citizens from all over the world.

 

In this way, Grupo Cajamar will hold several activities in the Space sponsored by the entity in collaboration with the Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT) and the Hotel Technology Institute (ITH), composed of the Welcome & VIP Area and the Tourism Innovation and Technology Forum (FITURTechY) and located in Pavilion 12.

The book also analyzes the evolution of the tourism sector in Spain in terms of sustainability, as well as the challenges it faces, such as seasonality, territorial concentration, job insecurity, and vulnerability to climate change. This work, volume 40 of the Mediterranean Economic Collection, invites reflection on how to transform our tourism model to make it more balanced, inclusive, and resilient from complementary perspectives: economics, the environment, business management, communication, technology, and public policy.

 

Also, on Wednesday, January 21st at 13:20 pm, a debate on the Keys to navigating times of change, which will reflect on how companies in the tourism sector are facing a scenario characterized by economic volatility, new consumer habits and technological transformation, and that same afternoon, at 16: 30 hours, will be presented report Indicators of the Triple Sustainability of Spanish Hotels, prepared in conjunction with CEHAT. Finally, the signing of collaboration agreements with various hotel associations in order to provide them with financing solutions through specialized products tailored to their needs, as well as to provide them with specialized advice and advanced services aimed at strengthening their business and strategic development.
