The recent publication of the Higher Sports Council (CSD) reveals a list of 6.268 elite athletes, marking significant growth in the recognition of talent and sporting excellence in the country.
"This positive trend in the number of high-level athletes represents much more than just a number: it is the consolidation of a model that is committed to talent, equal opportunities and excellence from the grassroots level to the elite," he stated. José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, president of the CSD.
Rodríguez Uribes added: “Each new elite athlete is a pillar upon which the future of Spanish sport is built. Therefore, investing in them today is to ensure the successes of tomorrow, projecting Spain as a sporting powerhouse that can confidently face major international challenges.”
