Spain and Egypt strengthen economic ties at a business meeting led by King Felipe VI.

 

El King Philip VI has presided over El Cairo an important business meeting which has brought together around 200 Spanish and Egyptian companies. The day included a panel on "Investment Climate, Financial Instruments and Business Opportunities", as well as round tables on "Water and Energy" and "Sustainable Mobility and Rail Transport"

 

 

For his part, the president of the Chamber of Spain, Joseph Louis BonetBonet stated that the interest of Spanish companies in investing in Egypt is growing, a country that "presents numerous opportunities in sectors where our companies are leaders and have extensive experience in the region." Bonet also mentioned the recent strategic agreement between the two nations and the financial and promotional instruments available to companies, adding that theSpain-Egypt Business Council"It has an intensive work plan to deepen trade exchanges and investments."

 

Along the same lines, the president of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, stressed that Spain can be a strategic partner for Egypt in areas such as renewable energy, green hydrogenWater treatment, transport infrastructure, telecommunications, and tourism were among the areas discussed. Garamendi emphasized that Spain can contribute "technology, experience, and access to European and Latin American markets," and expressed the CEOE's full commitment to the Spain-Egypt Business Council to strengthen relations.

 

The event was attended by prominent Egyptian figures, including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Investment and Trade, and the presidents of the Egyptian Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industries.
